a full team necessary for the conversion and restoration of unconverted rural
properties, including listed buildings, as well as securing the necessary consents.
Who
we are
We have a background
in English, American and Italian property transactions which
gives us an extensive knowledge of what buyers and sellers of
property in Tuscany need to know in order to jump the various
administrative hurdles that results in a satisfactory deal.
Edward Mayhew:
- Born in 1938, a dual US/UK citizen, I was brought
up and educated in New York through University (BA - Columbia
Univ). I had a stint as a property salesman in Manhattan with
Douglas Elliman in the early 1960s. Moved to the UK in the mid
1960s, I married and now have four grown up children. From the
early 1970s to the mid 1990s, I bought, developed and sold property
in the UK both on my own account and also for others. In 1999,
my wife and I moved to Tuscany where we now operate a successful
agriturismo and property advisory service.
Rupert Mayhew:
- A dual US/UK citizen, I was educated in England, at the Royal
Agricultural College studying property management, followed
by a career in the IT industry for a number of software companies.
Since then I have moved to Italy to develop La Vecchia Toscana Properties.
