Set in an elevated position overlooking a series of small valleys and upwards towards both Mount Cetano to the north and Mount Amiata to the west, the old farmhouse was fully restored in 1987.

The house faces south and west and the front door leads from a stone terrace into a hallway with a substantial stone staircase leading to the first floor and an entrance into a good sized sitting room with its substantial original fireplace, beamed ceiling and original polished terracotta floors.

Local Area

San Casciano dei Bagni is one of the medieval gems of southern Tuscany with recently renovated ancient thermal springs that now provides the Fonteverde natural Spa resort with its well respected wellness centre. The little town has a number of shops, bars and restaurants. Shopping can also be found at Chiusi, Sarteano, Cetona, Muonepulciano, Montacino and Cortona including fashion outlets such as Prada, Hogan, Tods and etc all within about 40 mins. Southern Tuscany includes the important Brunello di Montalcino wine country about 30 mins away.
