Located on a hillside, just outside a quiet village, and enjoying fabulous views across the rolling Chianti countryside, this property has been lovingly restored using a variety of original materials to create a home full of character.

The main house is an 18th century farmhouse although parts of the building date back to the 16th century. The property has two large reception rooms, four bedrooms and two bathrooms while there is also a two bedroom and a one-bedroom guesthouse. The property has retained its natural external cladding.

The main part of the house is approached through a front door with a kitchen (35 sqm) on the left and a staircase in front. The kitchen has been restored using original and salvaged features such as a large marble sink and stone fireplace. There are brick arches throughout the ground floor and terracotta floors. Guest House 1 (109 sqm) – This opens into a charming kitchen (35 sqm). There are original terracotta floors and there is a small stone fireplace. The kitchen units are new while just under the staircase is a downstairs cloakroom and laundry space. Next to the kitchen is a sitting room, (18 sqm), with a wooden ceiling and, typical throughout the property, lighting and wiring in a style to replicate the original styles used when electricity was first installed.

Upstairs are two double bedrooms (21 sqm and 13 smq), which have chestnut floorboards, and a bathroom (11 sqm). This guesthouse could easily be joined back to the main part of the property.

Guest House 2 (87 sqm) – This guesthouse is reached through a private entrance and enters into a double level kitchen (38 sqm). The terracotta floors are beautifully made and the kitchen leads into a small, but very cosy, sitting room (21 sqm) with a small fireplace. Up the stone staircase is a double bedroom (25 sqm) and a shower room (3 sqm).

A private entrance can be made from the main road, as could a private garden. This unit could easily provide an income from summer lettings for honeymooners.

Garden and land

The land comprises of 1 Ha (2.4 acres), which includes a lawn and a number of olive trees as well as a well maintained garden. There are two small fields below the house, which could also be turned into olive groves.

In front of the house, to the south, is a 5m x 12m infinity swimming pool with an electronically controlled cover. The property has external lighting throughout the garden.
