The main house dates back to the 13th century and contains 4 self-contained apartments, each with private entrances.
The main part of the house is entered through the hallway, now a breakfast room with a wood-burning stove.

The Equestrian Centre
The recently built, fully equipped, equestrian centre contains stabling for 20 horses and has two covered exercise circles as well as a 25m by 50m uncovered pitch for practice. There is also a wooden built bar and storage buildings.
Garden and land
The garden is laid out around the house on an easy to maintain basis and there are a number of terraces and slopes that have been thoughtfully landscaped.

Local Area
The village of Pelago has a number of shops, a post office, bank, and a chemist. Nearby the town of Pontassieve has a much larger number of shops, supermarkets and restaurants and provides frequent rail access into Florence, 20 minutes away.
Close to the property is the fortified monastery of Vallombrosa and the Chianti Rufina and Pomino wine growing regions.
The Vallombrosa national park boundaries are also close by, the property is surrounded by a largely woodland and farmland – vineyards, fruit orchards and olive groves predominate as well as pasture for the horses.
